How do I start care?
You first will need to set up a new patient appointment. You can do this through our online booking or by contacting us by email or phone. This first session is approximately one hour and includes a health history, consultation and assessment/examination of your spine and nervous system. We’ll discuss your goals and create a personalized care plan based on your goals as well as your health status.
What should I wear to my session?
Ideally wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Avoid bulky layers, belts, or restrictive items around your waist and shoulders so your practitioner can easily access your spine. That being said, don’t let what you are wearing stop you from care!
How many sessions will I need?
Each person’s nervous system is unique. Some notice immediate changes; others evolve through consistent care over time. Following neuroplasticity principles, frequency does matter if you are looking for long term state changes rather than a temporary “feel good” state change. Change takes time, commitment and intention.The more often your system experiences the new patterns of ease and energy, the more stable and transformative the results become.
What happens during a session?
You’ll lie comfortably on a chiropractic table. The practitioner will check your spine and make gentle contacts along specific areas of your spine. You may notice subtle movements, changes in breath, warmth, emotions or spontaneous wave-like motion—signs that your body is reorganizing and integrating energy. We also may do some specific somatic integration exercises with you or send you home with some homework.
